1Who we are
UP/1B Calculator is developed and published by Gas Installers Workmate Ltd, based in the United Kingdom.
This privacy policy applies to the UP/1B Calculator mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
2What data we collect
The app requires you to create an account in order to use it. This allows your completed test records to be securely stored and accessed across multiple devices.
The following information is collected and stored on our servers:
- Your account credentials (email address and encrypted password)
- A summary of each completed tightness test (fuel type, installation volume, test pressures, pass/fail result, date, and job reference)
This data is collected solely to provide the core functionality of the app — specifically to allow you to view and manage your test records across devices. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
Detailed in-progress job data (such as individual pipe section entries during a test) is held locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.
4PDF certificates
The app generates Gas Tightness Test Certificates as PDF files. These PDFs are created entirely on your device and saved to your device's local storage or shared via your device's standard share sheet (e.g. email, AirDrop, Files).
We do not receive, store, or have any access to any PDF certificates you generate.
5Purchases
The app is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple and Google respectively. We do not receive or store any payment card details.

6Analytics & tracking
The app does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. We do not use cookies or any equivalent tracking technology. We do not build user profiles or track behaviour in any form.
7Third-party services
The app does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or social platforms. No data is shared with any third party by us.

8Children's privacy
UP/1B Calculator is a professional tool intended for use by qualified gas engineers. It is not directed at or intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
9Your rights
As a user based in the UK or EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — you can request that we delete your account and all associated test records
- Right to portability — you can request a copy of your data in a portable format

10Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via an app update.
Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
